Dr Nina Burrowes
psychologist specialising in psychology of sexual abuse

Dr Burrowes is a psychologist who spends most of her time trying to help other people understand the psychology of sexual abuse – from why it happens to what can we do to prevent it. She regularly trains investigators, prosecutors, judges and therapists both in the UK and overseas as well as creating content and events for the public. She’s the author of two books on sexual abuse and the instigator of the UK’s first festival on sexual assault and consent – The Clear Lines Festival.

Recently, she has also written in the guardian on ‘Should police officers automatically believe victims? The state of justice for sexual offences’.
