Mark Taylor
vice-principal, East London Science School

Mark has worked on many aspects of school leadership in London secondary schools, including academic achievement, curriculum development, behaviour, professional development, developing pupil academic aspirations and subject knowledge. He teaches History and Ethics and has recently initiated a Great Books liberal arts programme at ELSS. He was previously a Head of Year and a Head of Humanities so has experience of both pastoral and academic sides of secondary education.

Mark is currently working on developing intellectual links with liberal arts programmes at the Universities of Columbia, New York and Chicago based on his earlier PLATO Conference work.
