Dr Hannah Dawson
historian of ideas, King's College London
Hannah Dawson is a historian of ideas. Educated at the University of Cambridge, where she took a double first in history, a MPhil, and a PhD, she was elected to a junior research fellowship at Queens’ College, Cambridge. Having held appointments at the University of Edinburgh and the New College of the Humanities, she now teaches at King’s College London. She publishes in both scholarly and mainstream contexts, such as Prospect and the TLS, and is a frequent contributor to broadcast and live media, most recently at the World Economic Forum in Davos, and on the BBC4 programme Marx: Genius of the Modern World. Her latest book is Life Lessons from Hobbes (Pan Macmillan, 2013).
