Martin Howe QC specialises in European Union law and intellectual property. He is chairman of Lawyers for Britain, which campaigned for a Leave vote and continues to advocate a clean exit from the EU. He was a member of the Coalition Government’s Commission on a Bill of Rights for the United Kingdom, and was in one of the first cases in the UK Supreme Court which directly applied the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. He advised on the Conservative manifesto policy of replacing the Human Rights Act with a new Act.
