Public debate on education is trapped, once again, in discussion of how teaching and learning should proceed. I welcome the opportunity to support some original thinking about the equally important - but mostly overlooked - problem of what the citizens of the twenty-first century should actually know. The London Knowledge Lab exists to explore the future of learning with digital technologies, to encourage deep thinking about the possibilities for learners of all ages not only to learn in new ways, but to design, create and study new things to learn.
