Dr Keri Facer is Research Director at Futurelab, the not-for-profit ‘think lab’ for innovation in education. At Futurelab, Keri leads the R&D team responsible for developing experimental technology enhanced learning environments, and practical research and policy publications on the future of education and technology. Futurelab learning environments demonstrate innovation in pedagogy and curriculum, and where appropriate draw on cutting edge mobile, pervasive and games technologies. Keri’s personal interests relate to questions of Futures research, Learner Voice and Children’s Rights, and to the role of technology in linking homes, schools and communities. Her previous work has also included research projects for the Economic and Social Research Council and DfES/DCSF. She has published widely in the field of children’s learning and digital cultures, including the book ScreenPlay: Children’s use of computers in the home (2003) and papers on issues from digital divides, curriculum design and mobile learning. |
