Hugh Ortega Breton is a lecturer and researcher in risk and anxiety in popular culture at Roehampton University. His current specialism includes ‘looking at the paranoid style of representing political subjectivities in western television news. The rationalisation of governmentality through risk and the use of others, particularly on immigration and war, to create cultural meaning and political legitimacy.’ He has spoken at the IoI’s Postgraduate Forum and has written for Culture Wars. |
