Professor Michael Oxley

Michael Oxley is currently Professor of Housing at De Montfort University in Leicester, and Visiting Professorial Research Fellow, Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. His previous appointments have included Professor of Housing and Director of the Centre for Residential Development at Nottingham Trent University, and Director of the Centre for Comparative Housing Research at De Montfort University. He was a non-executive director and member of the strategic management board of the Nottingham ALMO (Nottingham City Homes), which is responsible for the management of Nottingham’s 32,000 local authority owned dwellings, and Chair of the Commission of Enquiry into Housing and Anti-Social Behaviour in Nottingham.

His research and publications are concerned with the economics of housing markets, housing policy, planning and housing systems, including considerable work on international comparisons in housing policy and practice.
