At the Intelligent Optimist, the international magazine on positive change, we celebrate people making a positive difference in a world that’s a better place than you think. We embrace the passion behind new ideas that inspire innovative solutions to some of our greatest challenges. And we explore the possibilities generated by fresh perspectives on everything from business and technology to health and the human spirit. Our magazine and our website, www.theoptimist.com, are a tribute to the idea that without optimism, nothing will ever change. |
Are the kids all right?
"To contribute to Battle of Ideas is to add a few words to a giant, communal speech-bubble out of the gap-toothed mouth of British opinion. It is a strong reminder that the joys of free, uncalculated speech and the right to attack orthodoxies can in no way be assumed in 2012 – that we use them or lose them."
Piers Hellawell, composer; professor of composition, Queen’s University Belfast
