Dr Phil Hadfield is associate fellow at the School of Law, University of Leeds, and author of Nightlife and Crime: Social Order and Governance in International Perspective, Oxford University Press, 2009 and Bar Wars: Contesting the Night in Contemporary British Cities, Oxford University Press, 2006 (winner of the Hart Early Career Book Prize 2007).

He is the director of www.philhadfield.co.uk a consultancy providing research and advice on evening and night time economy strategy in the UK and internationally
