Graham Smith is chief executive of Republic, the independent pressure group campaigning for the abolition of the monarchy in favour of a new republican constitution. Graham has worked full-time for Republic since mid-2005, leading the organisation through a period of significant growth in membership and media profile. He has written widely on republicanism, the monarchy and the broader constitutional reform agenda for the national press and frequently appears on television and radio to debate these issues. Previously Graham has been involved in local and community politics both in the UK and in Australia, where he lived for a number of years. |
