Jennifer Rohn is a cell biologist who runs a research team at University College London. In her spare time, she is also a science writer, broadcaster, pundit, novelist and editor of LabLit.com – a website she founded to raise awareness of the lack of scientists and science in mainstream fiction and to illuminate what the life of scientists is really like. She blogs about her scientific life at Mind The Gap, and has published two novels about scientists, Experimental Heart and The Honest Look. Her writing appears regularly in publications such as the Guardian, Nature, The Times, the Scientist and many others. She is also the founder and chair of Science Is Vital, a grassroots group that campaigns to protect science funding in the UK.
