Dr Valerie Farnsworth

Valerie Farnsworth is a Research Fellow at the University of Leeds, School of Education. As a member of the 14-19 Education research group, her work focuses on applying social theories of learning to inform curriculum reform in 14-19 education. Her expertise is in qualitative research including methods of critical discourse and narrative analysis which are informed by social theories of learning and sociology. She has an ongoing interest in clarifying links between research, policy and practice. She received her PhD in Educational Policy Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
