CJ Lim is the Professor of Architecture and Urbanism, and Vice-Dean at the Bartlett UCL. He is the founder and director of Studio 8 Architects, a multi-disciplinary and international award-winning practice in sustainable urban planning, architecture and landscape, focusing on interpretations of social, cultural and environmental programs. His recent award winning eco-cities are for the Chinese and Korean Governments. For the Venice Architecture Biennale, the British Council UK commissioned his ‘Virtually Venice’, the project investigated differences and similarities of East-West cultures and identities. In 2006, he was the recipient of the Royal Academy of Arts London ‘Grand Architecture Prize’. His authored books include Smartcities + Eco-warriors (Routledge, 2010), Short Stories: London in two-and-a-half Dimensions (Routledge, 2011), and Food City (Routledge, 2014).
