Helen Birtwistle

Helen is a teacher of History and Politics and a Gifted and Talented coordinator at a secondary school and sixth form college in South London. Before this she worked for many years with the Academy of Ideas other flagship project, the Debating Matters Competition. Helen has produced previous Battle of Ideas sessions on physician assisted suicide, alternative medicine, religion and belief, friendship and the NHS.
