Kate Bassett is an arts journalist and author. As a theatre critic, she has worked for the Independent on Sunday, the Daily Telegraph and The Times. Other publications have included the Guardian, Time Out, the TLS and the New Statesman where she has written features and reviews on film, books, dance and comedy. She twice chaired the Perrier Comedy Awards (now called the Edinburgh Comedy Awards).
