Holly Pattenden

Holly works in the global strategy team at Norwegian energy company Statoil, where her role includes competitor intelligence, political and economic risk analysis and sustainability strategy. Before joining Statoil in 2011 she was head of oil and gas at Business Monitor International, a publishing company specialising in commercial risk analysis.

Holly has an MA in Classics from Oxford and an MSc in Global Politics from Birkbeck College in London, where her research focused on the governance of multinational corporations in developing countries.

Holly is a regular judge at Debating Matters. She also sings in London’s Bach Choir and plays in the Quiz League of London. Last year her team won Series 6 of BBC Four’s cult quiz show Only Connect.
