James Buchanan

James Buchanan joined JLR in September 2012 as a prototype technology specialist, advising and educating engineers/designers on prototype technology. Part of his role also includes researching new prototyping technology primarily focusing on rapid prototyping and most recently the new desktop 3D printing market.

He graduated from Exeter University in 2012 with a master in Mechanical engineering and worked on a number of projects involving selective laser sintering (SLS) and selective laser melting (SLM) throughout University.

James grew up in Jersey, Channel Islands, now based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, and his interests include motocross, hill climbs, triathlons and cycling.
