Dr Hayaatun Sillem is Director of Programmes & Fellowship at the Royal Academy of Engineering. In this role, Hayaatun has responsibility for the Academy’s research and university programmes, international activities and awards, as well as the election and engagement of Fellows. She is also the executive lead for the Academy’s Enterprise Hub and a Trustee and Judge for the St Andrews Prize for the Environment. Hayaatun has a Masters in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford and a PhD in signal transduction from the Cancer Research UK London Institute, as well as extensive experience in science, engineering and innovation policy. She recently led the secretariat for the Dowling Review of Business-University Research Collaboration. |
