Helen Whately

Helen is the Member of Parliament for Faversham and Mid Kent. She is Co-Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Healthcare and Vice- Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Mental Health. Helen was elected to the House of Commons health select committee in June 2015.

Helen has an established career in business and healthcare. For nearly a decade, she has worked with NHS hospitals, helping them improve care and make the most of resources. She has also advised healthcare regulators and commissioners, and worked on healthcare policy.

Previously Helen ran a business unit at AOL Time Warner, negotiated deals for AOL Europe and trained as a management accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Alongside her career, Helen has worked with several charities

Helen grew up in Surrey. She was educated at schools in Surrey and London, and read Politics and Philosophy at Oxford University. Helen is married and has three children.
