Andrew Gimson is an author and political journalist. His latest book, Gimson’s Kings and Queens: Brief Lives of the Monarchs since 1066, was described by reviewers as “the natural successor to Sellar and Yeatman’s 1930 classic, 1066 And All That”. He is also the author of an acclaimed biography of Boris Johnson.

As contributing editor to ConservativeHome, he specialises in interviewing Cabinet ministers and other leading Tories. He started his career in the Conservative Research Department and has served as deputy editor of the Spectator, political columnist of the Independent on Sunday, and Berlin correspondent for the Daily Telegraph.
