Kimon Daltas is half Greek and half Yorkshire. He grew up in Greece and took his first music lessons in the local village brass band on Corfu. He went on to study music at Oxford University to postgraduate level.

He joined the advertising sales department of Rhinegold Publishing in 2005, moving to an editorial position on Opera Now magazine in 2006. The following year he became deputy editor on Classical Music magazine and remained until taking over the editorship in 2013.

He writes primarily for Classical Music, as well as occasionally reviewing CDs for Sinfini.com and concerts for the Arts Desk.
