Bauke Schram

Bauke is a young business reporter from the Netherlands. As a keen journalist, she moved to the UK in 2012 to follow an undergraduate course in journalism. Since, she has worked as a freelance reporter for several publications and she has been an intern at a charity focused B2B magazine and free business daily City AM.

Although she has not been a business journalist for long, she has been on the forefront of covering major stories such as the court case and the conviction of Libor rigger and former Citigroup trader Tom Hayes and the stock market crash is China known as Black Monday. She has a good knowledge of the banking system, and she has covered the Iran sanctions as well as the UK economy, including monetary policy.

Bauke has a strong interest in international relations, transnational organisations and the relationship between governments and major financial institutions.
