Laura Blumenthal

From covering the Conservative party conference for her university newspaper to being elected as a councillor Laura has been a true blue for a number of years. Having identified with the party at a young age she is often intrigued as to what draws young people to political parties and what they can be doing to attract more young people to get politically active. Laura was a judge at the Debating Matters national final so doesn’t buy the argument that young people aren’t interested in politics. As a UCL MSc International Public Policy graduate Laura met politically engaged students from all over the world. Globally, young people have the will to improve their communities but what makes them step up to political life?
