Nicole Agba is a colour and materials designer with a degree in Transport Design from Coventry University. Mere months after graduating, she became the winner of the Autocar – Courland Next Generation Awards for her innovative idea called Steer right! - a biometric steering wheel that can detect whether a person is too drunk or too tired to drive. Nicole was recently quoted saying, “Design is a powerful tool and it can change the world – colour and materials design is my way of impacting that change. The concept that won me the award was a colour and materials project. Embedded biosensors interwoven into materials that can detect biological functions and reduce the amount of deaths caused by road accidents…that is effecting change.”
