Robert Bevan is a journalist, writer and heritage consultant. He is the author of The Destruction of Memory: Architecture at War (Reaktion, 2006), the first title to examine in detail the targeting of material culture in conflicts. A second edition is due later this year to coincide with the release of a feature-length documentary based on the book. He is a expert committee member of ICOMOS, the body that advises UNESCO on world heritage and of Blue Shield, the heritage equivalent of the Red Cross. |
