Dr James D Boys

Dr James D Boys is a political historian specialising in the study of the United States. He is an associate professor of international political studies at Richmond University in London. From 2012-2015, he was a visiting senior research fellow at King’s College London. He is a regular commentator on American politics and international affairs, appearing regularly on the BBC, Sky News and Al Jazeera. He appeared before the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee hearings into US-UK relations, and has also held a research fellowship at the University of North Dakota.

James is the author of Clinton’s Grand Strategy: US Foreign Policy in a Post-Cold War Word, (Bloomsbury, 2015) and Hillary Rising: The Politics, Persona and Policies of a New American Dynasty (Biteback, 2016). His next book, Clinton’s War On Terror: Prelude to Catastrophe 1993 - 2001 will be published by Lynne Rienner in 2018.
