Charlie has been working on both the Battle of Ideas festival and the Debating Matters Competition for the Academy of Ideas. From 2011-2014 he attended the University of Nottingham, completing a B.A. in Politics and American Studies with a particular focus on international drug policy. He is an avid musician, playing the drums and guitar in his spare time, and is a lifelong fan of Portsmouth Football Club.
