Paul Bickerton

Paul Bickerton has worked in the UK sports development sector for the past six years, currently for sports coach UK.  At present he has been seconded to the UK Coaching Framework Project Group, a group that supports the strategic development of a coaching system for the UK, and works predominantly with the Governing Bodies of Sport to achieve this.

Paul has a degree in Sports Science from the University of Birmingham, is a coach education tutor in the areas of coach mentoring and fundamental movement skills, and specialises in the early stages of player / athlete development models. He has also been a football coach and development officer in the US, and a canoeing instructor in France.

He has written widely on sporting issues for a range of publications, including The Times, spiked and various sports magazines.
