Alison Wolf

Alison Wolf directs the MSc in Public Services Policy and Management at King’s College London. She recently (2011) completed a review of 14-19 vocational education for the Coalition Government, all of whose recommendations have been accepted.

She is a presenter for Analysis (Radio 4) and writes regularly for a range of think tanks and for the national press, including Prospect, The Times, and the Guardian. She has been a specialist adviser to the House of Commons Education and Skills Committee, and a Member of Council for the United Nations University; and is currently an academic member of Council at King’s College London. Her books include Does Education Matter? Myths about education and growth, and her recent policy-related publications include Diminished Returns: how raising the school leaving age will harm young people and the economy - for Policy Exchange; An Adult Approach to Further Education’ for the IEA; and More Than We Bargained For: the social and economic costs of centralised wage bargaining for Centre Forum.
