This year’s festival also features a number of specially programmed events to complement the debates. Attractions include: Learn Latin in half an hour with Nevile Gwynne; performances from Fill It With Accordionists; a specially curated Classical Jam; rapid-fire lunchtime debates with Battle Bites; and soak up the intellectual buzz in the Ideas Market or our Freedom Read-a-thon. Ticketholders also get admission to our Saturday evening reception with performers from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, and toast the festival’s past, present and future at our Tenth Anniversary Drinks on Sunday.
From bullet trains to driverless cars: where is transport going?
"Although 'battle' suggests destruction, these were some of the most constructive debates I've taken part in. This was civilised conflict in the best sense of both words."
